WITCHES: Double double, toil and trouble/Fire burn and cauldron bubble.”(Macbeth 4.1.6)

Double Trouble is a double IPA from Founders that will make the heart under your doublebreasted corduroy blazer skip like double dutch. You may do a double take to shake off your double vision when you see the label, which has a doublehead (no racial!) dude with a double chin. There is no double message, double standard, doublespeak, or double entendre here: Founders just delivers the slightly opaque and slightly creamy goods like the KFC doubledown delivers delicious double bypass artery trauma.

This beer is the model of a mellow double IPA like the double helix is the model for DNA. I’m laying it on thick like a double decker bus!  I’ll redouble my efforts to provide you with informative content instead of just “double the pleasure, double the fun”. This is the duplex nature of the beer review: the double voiced evaluation.

The 9.4% ABV may put you in double jeopardy, especially if you’ve already doubled up, doubled your dose, or double dipped: be prepared for a double time double leg takedown, or worse, to be laid out like a double griddle outside a double occupancy double wide with a double barrel on you like a double electric breast pump. This product pounds out a double arpeggio of flavor and will stop your beer clock faster than a double dribble during a full court press.

  1. A double arpeggio of flavor sounds like too much…you know, sort of like Steve Vai…..playing a double neck guitar….while eating a double-down from KFC

  2. My doppelgänger and I performed a pasodoble before doubling over reading this review. We read it twice.
