Great Divide Hercules Double IPA

Great Divide Brewing, Denver, Colorado
Hercules Double IPA
Double IPA
9.1% ABV
22 oz. into tulip glass

I’ve been teaching my friend T-Bone how to squat, press, and deadlift in order to transform him from a frail Parisian poet and cheese connoisseur into a husky behemoth of a man. Today he rolled up to the PerryGym with a bottle of Hercules Double IPA. After lifting, we cracked it open.

T-Bone is getting strong in order to power up the Deadly Striking Force of his kick in his upcoming soccer season.  Yes, opponents will feel the biting wrath of the Viper Leg, if all goes as planned. That brings us to the beer.

Hercules Double IPA is intense.  Not sweet. Not gimmicky. It’s pure Resin, Gravel, and Steel. This is the kind of serious beer that will appeal to non-hopheads, since the focus is instead on depth of resinous flavor. It is all about the low notes.

If you are a fan of Great Divide beers, you’ll be excited to find out that you can get a Hercules IPA T-shirt! Or these peculiar “shorts”. The shorts are not appropriate for playing soccer.

  1. Ahaha. Props Pear! Funny shit and another damn good review. Being the kind of aforementioned non-hopshead strong taste kinda guy, I indeed liked me this nonetheless real husky beer.
Notice of the T-Shirt is only available in sizes S and XXL. I want this shirt (and one for you) even if it means having to fill it first. It’s just too appropriate.
    ‘Au Revoir!’

    • We’ll get you back under the bar as soon as your new tattoo heals. Resist the urge to buy those shorts, T-bone!

  2. if only the dress code at the P-Gym wasn’t so strict…

  3. Do tell.
