Lonerider Peacemaker

Lonerider Brewing, Raleigh, North Carolina
Peacemaker Pale Ale
5.7% ABV
12 oz. bottle

One of the first comments to pass from our collective lips was “How could this be a pale ale and not an India Pale Ale“? The Peacemaker is thick and viscous with a long, slow afterspice. The typical pale ale drinker (is there such a person?) would be confused. Cedar bark crinkles the palate.

At my urging, Nininja sequestered herself in the beer tasting chamber (AKA the shower) to sample this beer in a clothes-free, sensory-focused environment. She reported back that the shower steam had likely helped promote the high viscosity.

Finally, the Peacemaker bottle ominously warns that “peace is a dangerous thing”.  We’re not sure what they mean by that. Thoughts?
